Biography

Jeremy was born in Union City, Indiana when his family was living in Greenville. His parents have deep roots in the New Madison and Ansonia communities. He grew up in the Hardin-Houston community moving with his family to Tipp City in his last few high school years. His parents were well known builders and developers in the Shelby and Miami County areas. Growing up, his father and mother exposed him to all areas of residential and commercial construction. His love for construction led him into the building and construction industry where he was a successful residential and commercial developer. Although Jeremy loved construction and real estate development, he made the decision to pursue a career in law and graduated from the University Toledo School of Law. Prior to entering law school, Jeremy attended Wright State University and obtained a bachelor's degree in Geology.

Jeremy has a distinguished reputation among his peers for his tenacity and excellent results. He is known as someone who is not afraid to take difficult cases to the jury and sometimes accepts cases presenting important legal issues that others would not pursue.

Jeremy is primarily a litigator with extensive expertise in all areas of family law and is a formidable divorce attorney. He has an active criminal law practice including, but not limited to, federal and Ohio felonies and misdemeanors. Jeremy has successfully taken serious felony cases to the jury and has had the privilege of standing beside defendants when the jury returned its verdict of not guilty. In addition to his criminal practice, Jeremy has a broad range of civil trial experience including everything from actions for and against political subdivisions, construction, zoning, and personal injury suits. He is very comfortable in the courtroom and may be found many courts throughout Southwest and Central Ohio on a weekly basis. Jeremy is licensed to practice in all Ohio Courts, including Federal Courts in the Southern District of Ohio, the Northern District of Ohio, The Federal Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and in the United States Supreme Court.

Jeremy has volunteer affiliations with Troy Community Works and Troy Historic Preservation Alliance. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center and is a past President of the Miami Valley Council Boy Scouts of America. He is also a graduate of Leadership Ohio and a member of the local Kiwanis Club.
